For Artsen zonder Grenzen (Médecins Sans Frontières) I am searching for a Business Intelligence Consultant CRM.

The Communication and Fundraising department consists of approximately 35 people; content creators, marketing managers, press officers, fundraisers and web / data analysts. Within Fundraising, the Database Management unit is responsible for data management, donor administration and public information. In the challenging position of Business Intelligence Consultant, you are not only involved in technology, but you are also closely involved in all MSF fundraising campaigns.

Objectives

As business intelligence consultant, you participate in fundraising projects to realize income and growth. Your role in these projects is to advise on data solutions and implement those in the CRM systems. You connect business intelligence information from different systems, and optimize the organization of the business data and work processes. You recommend improvements of fundraising initiatives and on new opportunities based on data and tools.

Are you a project manager who likes to guide the implementation of the data side of projects? Are planning, strategic and analytical thinking, and taking data decisions your strengths? Main responsibilities:

  • Work closely with fundraisers to improve and optimize fundraising activities, and identify new business opportunities
  • Advise fundraisers on data processing and procedures, and the consequences of proposed fundraising activities on the CRM system, marketing automation, reporting, etc.
  • Analyse and act on external developments and trends on data management, payments, legal and regulatory obligations and processing programs (ETL)
  • Develop and propose data management policies and translate these into concrete improvements of fundraising processes and systems
  • Identify, analyse, advise and implement the fundraising and functional needs into the data landscape and related tools together with your data and online colleagues
  • Translate functional needs into system requirements and/or data solutions within their existing technology (or recommend additional tools)
  • Document and maintain work processes including technical and functional aspects

Candidate profile

You are an expert on data solutions, who wants to take responsibility for building the optimal fundraising database. You are data-driven and eager for a challenge! You want to develop the data landscape in order to optimise fundraising results. You are pro-active, a good advisor, solution-oriented and have good communication and project management skills.

  • IT savvy, with a relevant (Beta) higher vocational education (HBO) or University (WO) education and - preferably - relevant work experience in a fundraising, marketing or CRM environment
  • data-driven and experienced in a changing environment;
  • excellent communication skills
  • can work in a planned and independent way, but is also a team player
  • solution-oriented, hands-on, with integrity and an innovative and creative mindset
  • good command of the Dutch and English language in both speech and writing (essential in this position)
  • Software knowledge (advantage if software knowledge matches their systems in brackets)
    • CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Engage Ifunds)
    • Marketing automation (Ternair)
    • Reporting (Power BI)
    • Data platform (Azure)
    • Data integration and transformation tools like Kingsway Soft, Data Lake, Dell Boomi, SFTP, etc.
    • Programming languages SQL, C#
