In this role you design, execute and analyse competitive intelligence to create the foundation for an outside-in view of what is the competitive landscape of the business today that will feed into the performance analysis.
The key deliverables are:
- Equip the company with best in class tool(s) and method(s) to identify competitive reality at market and product level as well as to run 360’ deep dives on the key competitors
- Deliver analysis and conclusions of the competitive landscape based on the pilot in order to validate the proposed tool(s) and method(s)
- Set up ways of working and how to use and maintain the developed tool(s) & method(s)
- Define the next steps regarding the roll-out of the developed tool(s) and method(s) across the organisation
Duration: estimated 3 to 5 months (to be defined along the way)
Start: as soon as possible
40 hours per week
Approx. 50% of the working hours on the location in Delft – other 50% you can work from home

You have a proven track record of implementing competitive intelligence capability within organisations. You enjoy to generate and collect data and turn them into insights that help people understand their business better. You bring a strategic mind set, agility and a drive for making things happen. Sharing and implementing new way of working in a clear and inspiring way comes natural to you. Being a self-starter, you show initiative and you are pro-active. You can relate to the retail industry and would love to contribute to make the organisation even better in the future.
- At least 10 year of all-round research experience with deep knowledge of competitive intelligence
- Solid knowledge of ‘best in class’ tools and methods for competitive intelligence
- Excellent communication and inter personal skills with proven ability to form strong interdependent working relationships
- Experience in complex project and stakeholders management
- Holistic understanding of international business (retail, finance, performance)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with research experience
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
